OSPs provide services and support to the network of Points of Sales located throughout the Maltese Islands, selling MALTCO LOTTERIES games using state-of-the-art online computer systems.

The ideal candidates should:-

  • Possess a minimum of three years clean driving license.
  • Have good communication and telephone skills
  • Be fluent in both written and oral English and Maltese.
  • Be smart and have a pleasant personality.
  • Be able to work as part of a team on a shift basis.
  • A technical background and/or qualifications in computer hardware will be considered an asset.

Network and Systems Support Specialist

Job Description:

MALTCO LOTTERIES Limited has a vacancy for a Network and Systems Support Specialist in its Information Systems Department offering a unique working environment with state-of-the-art technology from renowned vendors including Microsoft, IBM, Cisco and Checkpoint to operate the infrastructure for the nationwide online retailer network. The selected candidate will be offered a challenging position with the opportunity to excel in his / her area of specialization while developing new technical and soft skills.

The main responsibilities of the selected candidate will include, to:

  • Operate, manage, monitor and act as first line of support to troubleshoot Maltco's WAN, LAN and Security infrastructure, and document network support related activities;
  • Proactively identify and manage network and security vulnerabilities;
  • Implement security controls within the company's infrastructure according to internal security policies and guidelines; review and propose improvements on a regular basis;
  • Liaise with external suppliers ensuring delivery within Service Levels Agreements parameters.

Candidates should be in possession of an ICT related graduate degree and at least 2 years of related experience in networking, security and network operating systems.

The ideal candidate should be experienced in CISCO technologies and in possession of relative CISCO certifications (such as CCNA, CCNP, CCNP Security etc). Certifications and experience in Checkpoint, Nagios, Wireshark, Microsoft, LINUX and other network operating systems, Voice & Video over IP will be considered an asset.

  • Operate, manage, monitor and act as first line of support for Maltco's Servers and Desktop Infrastructure;
  • Troubleshoot and attend to Back Office and Desktop Applications issues;
  • Form part of the Systems and Desktop Support team;
  • Be able to work diligently, multitasking with given priorities and deliver within stipulated deadlines;
  • Have good troubleshooting, documentation and reporting skills;
  • Be well organized and possess excellent communication skills.

Possession of an ICT related graduate degree, Microsoft and CISCO certifications and related experience in similar positions will be considered an asset.

Brand Manager - Number Games

The main responsibilities of the selected candidate will include:

  • Analysing Sales data from different perspectives and summarising it into useful information;
  • Regular visits to the retail network and Market Research activities;
  • Assisting in the drawing up of a detailed yearly Marketing plan, highlighting all activities that need to be undertaken to help achieve the targeted sales turnover;
  • Delivering monthly brand review reports, analyzing game sales performance, suggesting corrective measures and promotions needed to keep the achievement of sales targets on track;
  • Assisting in the development and, ensuring conformance to, a standardized brand guideline for each game.

Selection Criteria

  • At least three years of proven experience in a similar position;
  • Technical grounding in marketing and the ability to bring passion and enthusiasm to the role;
  • High level of verbal and written communication.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing or suitable experience.
  • Creative and willing to put forward their ideas.
  • Well organized and accountable.

Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer

We are recruiting a Personal Assistant to the CEO to work in an exciting Company which has been awarded a Licence to operate the National Lottery of Malta.

The selected applicant will provide high-level, confidential administrative support to the office of the CEO. Duties are clerical, administrative and project-based and include scheduling travel, arranging meetings, handling information requests, preparing reports and correspondence and liaising with Department Directors. This position is privy to confidential information and therefore requires professionalism, diplomacy and discretion.

We are looking for a self-motivated, pleasant and outgoing person who is polite and courteous even when under stress and pressure; who is able to communicate, both verbally and in writing, clearly and assertively. This person must be efficient, organized and detail oriented as he / she will be required to execute high-priority time-saving tasks that require care and accuracy. Other requirements include flexibility and problem solving skills.

The prospective candidate is expected to be IT literate and internet savvy and will also be required to maintain an effective office filing system. A positive attitude, enthusiasm, integrity and the ability to take initiative will definitely add value to this role.

Applicants should have an 'A' level standard of education and possess Secretarial Qualifications. A university degree will be considered an asset. He / she should also have a minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar position.
